Bed Hunt….Successful on day 2.

After a day of bad customer service, we decided to check out a few more this time in Maryland. Rockville Pike seems to be lined with strip malls. On the way to Marlo to see if the bed we want was there as a floor model, we stopped at Room Store and Basset Direct. We skipped the Ethan Allen, Haverty’s and another expensive looking furniture stores. After getting run out of Basset for saying that $2000 was too much to pay for a sleigh bed, we wanted to order the Ashley Rowley Creek Rustic Poster Bed from Marlo as they are an Ashley dealer. They were not able to order it for us, but they did send us to International Furniture Liquidators as they know they carry the Millennium line which we were looking at. After a hour of hunting for the sign we saw on the way over to Marlo by the road which had apparently been removed, we located the store. It looked like a warehouse when we entered, not so impressive with aisles of boxes and assembled display models. We then entered the showroom! WOW, it was 3 times or more the size of Marlo! I almost got lost and we did not even look at everything, but we did see the bed we wanted! YEAH! Unfortunately the only had the floor model and it was a damaged King, but they were able to order us the Queen, so three weeks from now, we should have it 🙂

So…looking for furniture, head to IFL in Rockville in the plaza with the Giant, Target, Old Navy, and Hudson Trail Outfitters. It was an amazing collection of contemporary and traditional. I saw several shelving units and couches I would like to have if I had room.
